Mazak to Unveil New QRX-50MSY for High-volume Production at DISCOVER 2025

FLORENCE, Ky., October 2, 2025 – At DISCOVER 2025, Mazak will unveil the highly anticipated QRX-50MSY CNC turning center that provides manufacturers the speed and versatility for high-volume production of small, intricate parts in a compact, affordable machine. The QRX-50MSY’s combination of milling capability, second turning spindle and Y-axis functionality with advanced technology, productivity and value delivers exceptional performance for shops machining small parts such as EV input shafts, mid-shafts, valve fittings and other components exceeding 2″ in diameter.

The QRX-50MSY is the latest adaptation of Mazak’s versatile and efficient HQR Series 2-turret/2-spindle CNC turning center that has similar milling and Y-axis functions. The QRX-50MSY boasts a 15% smaller footprint with floor dimensions of 119.3″ (3,030 mm) by 86.6″ (2,200 mm) while maintaining throughput and reduced cycle times. Additionally, the QRX-50MSY’s modular design uses common machine components such as identical left and right spindles, upper and lower turrets and upper and lower carrier drives. The modular nature of the QRX-50MSY keeps machine cost down to maximize a manufacturer’s return on investment when producing small parts.

The QRX-50MSY sports a maximum bar diameter capacity of 2.0″ (50 mm) with a 6″ (152 mm) diameter chuck and features a slant bed design. The main and second spindles use 20 hp (15 kW) motors that provide maximum speeds of 6,000 rpm. The 12-station/24-tool position upper and lower turrets feature 7.0 hp (5.3 kW) rotary tool spindles that offer maximum speeds of 6,000 rpm.

The machine’s toolholding utilizes a BMT (Basic Metric Tooling) 45 interface for fast, precise tool changes and optimized performance. The interface uses static and driven tools and supports a wide range of tool holder types, including radial, axial and angular holders. The BMT 45 interface allows tools to be rotated 180 degrees for use on second operations, eliminating the need for tool changes between the operations.

The QRX-50MSY is equipped with a work unloader over the top of the second spindle that shops can equip with a gripper or parts bucket to remove parts from the machine. An auto parts catcher mounted on the lower turret catches parts at the second spindle head, or positioned beneath the main spindle, it can also accommodate end-of-bar remnants.

The machine comes standard with the MAZATROL SmoothG CNC that includes MAZATROL conversational programming as well as EIA-ISO G-code programming capabilities. The control provides unsurpassed ease of operation with its 19-inch touch screen and 3D model-based graphical user interface for intuitive operation like that of smartphones and tablets. The control also incorporates a wide variety of advanced programming functions for complete ease of use and high-speed, high-accuracy machining performance.

Every Mazak machine is backed by Mazak MPower Complete Customer Care, the industry’s most comprehensive machine support program. Plus, Mazak Capital Equipment Financing (MCEF) allows shops to easily move their manufacturing forward with one-stop, factory-direct financing on Mazak equipment.

Mazak to Debut New INTEGREX i-350S NEO With Grinding Capability

FLORENCE, Ky., September 30, 2025 – At DISCOVER 2025, Mazak will unveil the new INTEGREX i-350S NEO Multi-Tasking Machine that delivers the ultimate in versatility, precision and efficiency. Building on Mazak’s proven DONE-IN-ONE® concept, the INTEGREX i-350S NEO provides increased thermal stability and combines high-performance turning, milling and, now for the first time, grinding operations along with advanced automation features.

During DISCOVER, Mazak will demonstrate how manufacturers can finish parts to exacting tolerances and superior surface finishes with the ability to machine and grind in a single setup. As a result, shops also shorten lead times, reduce handling and improve process reliability.

The INTEGREX i-NEO Series of machines offers a wide range of automation solutions that meet diverse customer requirements. For applications utilizing overhead gantry loaders, unloaders or bar feed systems, the series provides a standard ergonomic front-mounted tool magazine that also ensures seamless integration with any automation strategy. Mazak also offers the option to locate tool magazines at the rear of the machine along with optional retrofittable automatic front doors/robot interfaces that allow the machines to easily accommodate floor-mounted robots.

The INTEGREX i-350S NEO includes both a main and second turning spindle (S) and a milling spindle headstock for DONE IN ONE® part production. The main spindle accommodates a 10″ chuck and boasts a Y-axis stroke of 12″ (304.8 mm) and X-axis stroke of 27″ (685.8 mm) for a maximum part diameter capacity of 26.38″ (670 mm). Both the main and second turning spindles operate at 4,000 rpm, while the compact milling spindle comes standard as 12,000 rpm (24 hp/22 kW) and 20,000 rpm (24 hp/22 kW) as optional. The machine processes parts up to 59.80″ (1519 mm) long with a 1500U-style bed and up to 98″ (2489.2 mm) with a 2500U bed.

The INTEGREX i-350S and i-350ST model NEO Series machines incorporate the latest Mazak MAZATROL SmoothAi CNC control technology. For fully optimized machining operations, the AI-powered technologies within the new MAZATROL SmoothAi control make for fast and easy programming as well as controlled spindle speed for reduced vibration and greater machine thermal stability.

These Mazak AI-powered technologies include Solid MAZATROL that allows users to automatically generate programs from 3D part models; SMOOTH Ai Spindle that automatically optimizes spindle speed based on sensor feedback to minimize machining vibration for superior part surface finishes; and Ai Thermal Shield that adapts to and learns from environmental changes to control the effects of heat on machining accuracy.

In addition to SMOOTH TECHNOLOGY solutions and control functions, the control also provides access to Mazak’s MAZATROL TWINS software, which allows shops to create synchronized digital twins of real machines on their shop floors. The digital twin’s software solutions provide highly efficient machine operation through SMOOTH Project Manager that ensures efficient job setups and SMOOTH CAM Ai for an open and interactive interface for CAD/CAM software packages.

The INTEGREX i-350S NEO represents Mazak’s next step forward—helping manufacturers achieve complete part processing with unmatched productivity, flexibility and accuracy in one machine.
