Eduardo Tovar, Modern Machine Shop Mexico, Director Editorial

Eduardo Tovar is the Editorial Director of Modern Machine Shop México and Content Director of Meximold. He has 29 years of experience in the metalworking industry, where he has reported on the applications and innovations of Mexico’s most important manufacturing sectors.

His professional activity extends throughout Mexico, as well as the United States, Europe, and Asia, covering the leading global events in metal manufacturing and machine tool technologies. He holds a degree in Social Communication and International Relations.

Throughout his career, Eduardo has participated in the most relevant seminars and events in manufacturing and related technologies. He has also been the organizer of major industrial events in Mexico, such as Meximold—the trade show and conference for mold manufacturers—and MMS México Live, a series of specialized conferences for the metalworking sector.

Driving Results with Automation

Mike Cicco, Fanuc, President and CEO

Mike Cicco is the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of FANUC America Corporation.  As President and CEO, Cicco has responsibility for all the company’s operations in North and South America.  Cicco also serves as a Director on FANUC CORPORATION’s (Japan) Board of Directors.

Cicco joined FANUC in 1999, and has held a variety of engineering, sales, and management positions over the years.  In 2015, Cicco was promoted to vice president of FANUC’s North and South American sales and execution.  In April 2016, Cicco was named president and COO.

Before joining FANUC, Cicco served as lead automation engineer for Northrop Grumman in the Automation and Information Systems group.

Cicco holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA.

Cicco also serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Association for Manufacturing Technology (AMT).

Economic Trends Driving The Future of Manufacturing 

Taylor St. Germain, ITR, Economist and Senior Consultant

As an experienced economist, Taylor St. Germain provides consulting services for small businesses, trade associations, and Fortune 500 companies across a spectrum of industries. Taylor specializes in forecasting at both the market and company levels and is a key contributor to maintaining ITR Economics’ forecast accuracy rating of 94.7%.

His dynamic personality and extensive knowledge of economic trends and their business relevance are highly valued by clients and colleagues alike.

Taylor spent time in the tech industry providing market intelligence to electronics OEMs, semiconductor companies, and component manufacturers. In his five years with ITR Economics, he has worked with various distributors, manufacturers, and producers, helping each client navigate the business cycle and optimize their corporate planning strategy. Taylor has also spent several years in Texas furthering his research in the industrial sector, with a specific focus on oil and gas.

Taylor earned his bachelor’s degree in statistics from the University of Vermont and is finishing a master’s degree in applied economics at Southern New Hampshire University. He has been featured in OEM Magazine, NALP, Lawn and Landscape, and on the Fab Lab and Wealth Formula podcasts.
